Do you really pray for others?

Oftentimes people will give us prayer requests and our first response is, "Yeah I'll pray for that!" It then almost immediately leaves our mind if it is not written down. I'm just as guilty of this as anybody is. But, when you do pray for others, how do you do it? Do you say, "Lord, bless so and so with this difficult situation. Amen." Well, that was nice, but let's see what the Bible has to say about praying for others. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:3.
"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."
So, how should we pray for others? This verse tells us that we need to pray for them as if it was us suffering the grief. If a fellow Christian is having a hard time, pray for them as if you were praying for yourself in the same situation. This will radically change our prayer lives. I would encourage, pray for others, and pray for them as if you were "bound with them" and "as being yourselves also".

God bless you all!
